A.A.S. Commercial Music: Performance (Session Musician)
Very few commercial schools and institutions of higher learning offer this track, which prepares gifted rhythm musicians for careers as musicians in the recording studio environment. Guitarists, Bassists, Keyboardists, and Drummers learn all the grooves, from Latin to country and rock, and become fluent in commercial notation systems, while sharpening their improvisational skills. Vocalists learn songs in a variety of genres, and work as both lead and background singers. All of our musicians are part of a live band, with multiple performances a semester in our dedicated Music Hall. An audition is required for admission. For the full curriculum see Courses/ Degree Plan.
